Stress Check

Know What You Are Carrying

A brief, biblical, mission-focused stress readiness training for chaplains, leaders, and small groups.

07:00
Every Soldier carries weight. Sometimes it is a ruck. Sometimes it is the mission. Sometimes it is money, family, grief, sleep, or something happening inside that nobody else can see.

Stress is not automatically weakness. Stress is information. The question is not whether you are carrying stress. The question is whether stress has started carrying you.

Immediate Attention

Your color is not your identity. It is a snapshot of what your system may be carrying right now.
Reflection: What is your result trying to tell you that you may have been trying not to hear?

Action: Within the next 24 hours, I will ______________________________.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

God, help us tell the truth about what we are carrying. Give us wisdom to know what requires action, courage to ask for help, and grace to receive rest without guilt. Amen.
When someone needs immediate support

Do not rely on the color score alone. Any statement suggesting self-harm, harm to others, inability to remain safe, or immediate danger requires direct human engagement.

  • Remain calm and take the person seriously.
  • Do not leave the person alone when immediate risk is present.
  • Contact approved emergency, medical, behavioral-health, chaplain, or leadership resources.
